This page explains how Bamboo Pocket subscriptions work — prices, billing periods, auto-renewal, trials, and how to cancel. Please read it before you start a trial or pay. Checkout screens will show the same core facts again before you confirm.
Bamboo Pocket is an entertainment companion product. It is not medical care and not gambling. See the Wellness Disclaimer.
1. What you get
A paid subscription unlocks the companion features tied to your plan:
- Single (one panda) — entitlement for one panda companion
- Pair — entitlement for two panda companions
Product rules that stay locked once set:
- Panda sex cannot be changed after it is set
- Adoption requires a matching entitlement
- You cannot split a pair into two singles or remove a panda to free a slot outside in-app rules
Virtual pandas are a limited license to enjoy digital content inside the Service — not ownership of property. See the Terms of Use.
2. Prices and billing periods
Prices below are in US dollars. Local taxes, VAT/GST, or currency conversion may be added or shown by the Merchant of Record at checkout. The amount you authorize is the amount shown on the checkout confirmation screen.
| Plan | Price | Billing period |
|---|---|---|
| One panda (single) | US$1.99 | Monthly |
| Pair | US$2.99 | Monthly |
| One panda (single) | US$19.9 | Yearly |
| Pair | US$29.9 | Yearly |
We may change future prices with notice as required by law and as shown before your next renewal. Price changes typically apply to later renewals, not mid-cycle, unless stated otherwise at checkout or required by law.
3. Auto-renewal (important)
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period.
- Monthly plans renew every month until you cancel.
- Yearly plans renew every year until you cancel.
- Each renewal charges the payment method on file for the then-current plan price (plus applicable tax).
You authorize the Merchant of Record to charge renewals until you cancel.
There is no surprise lifetime lock-in: you can cancel future renewals anytime using the methods in Section 5. Cancelling stops the next charge; it does not erase time already paid unless a refund applies.
4. Free trial (7 days)
When a trial is offered:
- Trial length: 7 days
- Starting a trial requires a payment card (or another payment method accepted by the Merchant of Record)
- If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription converts to a paid plan and you will be charged the plan price shown at signup
- To avoid being charged, cancel before the trial ends (see Section 5)
We will show the trial end / first-charge timing on the signup and checkout screens. Please keep an eye on that date.
5. How to cancel
You can cancel auto-renewal anytime. After you cancel, you typically keep access until the end of the current paid (or trial) period, then the subscription does not renew.
Option A — In your Bamboo Pocket account
Open Account / Subscription (or equivalent settings) and choose Cancel subscription / Manage subscription when that control is available in the PWA.
Option B — Merchant of Record customer portal
Because we use web checkout Merchants of Record:
- Paddle — use the Paddle customer portal / receipt links for your purchase
- Creem — use the Creem customer portal / receipt links for your purchase
Use the portal that matches the provider shown on your receipt.
Option C — Email support
Email support@bamboopocket.app from the email address used at checkout. Include:
- Approximate purchase date
- Plan name (single / pair; monthly / yearly)
- That you want to cancel auto-renewal (and whether you also want a refund review)
We will help you cancel and, if needed, point you to the correct Merchant of Record portal.
When to cancel to avoid a charge
| Situation | Cancel before… |
|---|---|
| Active trial | The end of the 7-day trial (before the first paid charge) |
| Monthly paid plan | The next renewal date |
| Yearly paid plan | The next yearly renewal date |
Cancelling after a renewal charge has already processed generally does not undo that charge automatically; see refunds below.
6. Who charges you (Merchants of Record)
Bamboo Pocket uses web checkout. Merchants of Record for subscriptions:
| Provider | Role |
|---|---|
| Paddle | Sandbox / primary checkout path (and live sales if configured) |
| Creem | Live checkout (under review) |
We do not use Stripe for launch billing. Launch does not use Apple or Google in-app purchase.
Your bank or card statement may show the Merchant of Record's name rather than "Bamboo Pocket." Keep your receipt email — it tells you which portal to use for cancellation or refunds.
7. Refunds
Refund handling follows:
- The Merchant of Record policy for your transaction, and
- Mandatory consumer-protection laws where you live that cannot be waived
Contact support@bamboopocket.app first; we will help route the request to Paddle or Creem as appropriate.
Digital subscriptions that you have already started using may have limited refund eligibility in some regions, except where local law says otherwise (for example, certain EU consumer rights). We will not hide cancellation behind dark patterns; if something in the product blocks cancel, email support and we will help you get it done.
8. Failed payments and access
If a renewal payment fails, the Merchant of Record may retry according to its rules. We may restrict paid features until payment succeeds. You can update your payment method via the MoR portal or by contacting support.
